1. Pick a theme that fits your blog 

For example, if you are a summer blog or a hipster blog, use the Narnia theme, like me! :)  It does require a lot of HTML editing though, and if you’re not good with HTML, you can ask someone for help!  If you can’t do either of the above, I would recommend the theme Lightglass 5!  Before, you had to pay to use Narnia, but now there’s a newer, free version called Narnia two! :)  To use Lightglass 5, you also need to pay, but you can get it for free on pastebin! 

2. Stay active

Most people unfollow blogs that are inactive.  If you will be away for a few days, make sure you set up a queue so your blog will still post while you are away!  If you don’t want to set up a queue, or if you don’t know how long you will be away, you could always get a blogsitter to update your blog for you! :) 

3. Don’t change your blog type! 

If you are quality, stick to quality!  If you are hipster, stick to hipster!  People will most likely unfollow you if you change!  

4. Make sure your blog is pwettyy

One way to make your blog beautiful is with HTML codes!  I got a lot of my codes from here, but you can get a lot of the codes I use from my code blog here! Another way is to get gradients and banners!  Check my credits page to see where I got mine! :) 

5. Don’t change your URL!

On most unfollower trackers people have, it will say you unfollowed them if you change your URL, which will sometimes result in them unfollowing you.  If you do have to change your URL, make sure you tell your followers before you change it and also change the theme of your old URL to an “I moved” theme.  

6. Be nice to your followers! 

If you’re rude, nobody would want to follow you right? :) 

7. Ask people to check out your blog!

Make sure to check out their FAQ first to make sure they are okay with it though!  And make sure you’re following them because it is just plain rude to ask someone to check out your blog when you’re not following them!
